CAMBRA, or Caries Management By Risk Assessment, is testing designed to identify a patient’s genetic risk for developing caries, also known as cavities.
Dr. Braun will perform many thorough tests to measure oral bacteria levels in your mouth. Digital radiographs will also be taken. Dr. Braun will then examine your mouth to look for cavity risk factors which include tooth decay, bacteria, your tooth decay history, eating habits, current medications being taken and your at-home oral hygiene routine.
Based on her findings, Dr. Braun can help you prevent future cavities from forming or treat caries that are present.
