Michaela brings many years of business and banking experience to her position of Practice Administrator. She will assist you with scheduling, financial arrangements and all aspects of your Smiles Dentistry visits. Michaela was educated in Capetown, South Africa, which explains her stunning accent and command of the English language. She and her husband enjoy living close to San Francisco and taking advantage of all the city has to offer.

Melissa
Melissa has over 20 years of chairside experience and is our primary Patient Care Administrator. She is dedicated to always doing her personal best and brings a new level of professionalism to dentistry that is rare to find. As a Registered Dental Assistant with expanded responsibilities, Melissa provides a level of care you can always trust. Melissa is a homemaker with two young children. She and her husband have lived in the Bay Area all their lives and enjoy spending time with family and friends, boating and camping.

Susan
Susan, our Hygienist, has extensive experience providing preventive care, with a special emphasis on treating fearful, anxious patients. She can ease even the most anxiety-filled patient – just trust her sincere smile. She's also great with children. Susan, a native Texan, lives on the coast and enjoys seeing the ocean every day. She and her husband love the Bay Area and ease of reaching rural open space in a matter of minutes. When away from the office, Susan enjoys hiking, gardening and caring for her pets.

Alexis Atchinson, DDS brings more clinical excellence to our practice's hygiene and preventative care center. "Lex" is a fourth generation Bay Area Californian and brings the utmost confidence and excellence to her work in the area of periodontal disease prevention and education. Outside of dentistry, Lex is an avid dog lover and enjoys running, traveling and reading.

Breann is a caring dental assistant with a special gift of putting patients at ease as our Patient Care Coordinator. Breann is also a dedicated student working hard to earn her undergraduate degree. Breann comes from the Bay Area and enjoys spending time with her friends and family, hiking, water-skiing and exploring the many lakes and trails that are in our backyard.
